Smile, it's your day!

Hi! I made this card today, and I really dig how it turned out. I masked off a circle and used the Lattice stencil by Heidi Swapp to blend on picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, and mustard seed distress inks. It's hard to tell from the pics, but I layered up the Stitched Camera Die by MyCreativeTime a bunch of times with black cardstock, and added while on top. Looks really cool from the side in person.
I turned the camera into a tiny shaker. ;) The greeting is from the It's All About You set from MyCreativeTime

p.s. My Sailor said, "Whoa! That camera looks like leather." LOL I think he thought that because of the stitching? I don't know. Silly boys. ;)

Made In Mintues

Hello! It's Made in Minutes day at MyCreativeTime. Today we make quick projects. My card today took a little less than 15 minutes. I started by creating a mask so I could use the Chevron stencil from Heidi Swapp to ink up a circle. I used mint julep Hero Arts Shadow ink.
I used the Typewriter die to stamp the typewriter and greeting from the Once Upon A Time set by MyCreativeTime

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Hello! For my card today I used the Polka Dots stencil from Heidi Swapp to make my background so it would perfectly match my ice cream scoops. I used bubblegum and mint julep shadow inks, and dried marigold distress ink for the dots and scoops. The sweet ice cream cone is from the Yummies set by PeachyKeenStamps. I added an extra scoop. ;)
Those adorable faces are from the Kawaii Face Assortment by PeachyKeenStamps. LOVE those faces! The greeting is from the Celebrate Good Times set from MyCreativeTime

On a non stamping related note...I can't believe tonight is the season finale of The Walking Dead. :( Do you watch? I'm a tv junkie. I'm obsessed with the ID channel! Have it on all day while I create. :)

You Rock!

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY! :) I am in total love with the Faceless Chickens from PeachyKeenStamps! LOVE I tell ya! ;) I just had to make a rockstar chicken. His super cool sunglasses are from the Sunny Side Up Sentiments set by PeachyKeenStamps. {that set is on SALE right now}... I stamped them on his face, and another time so I could cut them out and add glossy accents to make them shiny. I used the legs from the April 2013 set from PeachyKeenStamps to make him tall. :)
And every rocker needs a microphone, right?! The microphone is from the Karaoke Birthday Set by PeachyKeenStamps. I added some stickles to it to make look kind of real. :) The greeting is from the Great Big Greetings set by MarketStreetStamps which unfortunately closed.

I hope you have a ROCKIN' weekend!

Whatever Wednesday "Hey girl"

Hiya! It's Whatever Wednesday at MyCreativeTime. Today we make whatever our little hearts desire. I am SO HAPPY with how this one turned out. I used the Lowercase Fun Dies to cut masks from Post It Craft Paper. I positioned them where I wanted and then used my picked raspberry distress ink reinker and water in a mini mister to make my own spray mist. Then, I sprayed the living daylights out of it. Ha! I used my heat tool to dry it. Then I used the Heidi Swapp Butterfly stencil and sprayed gold lame Heidi Swapp color shine over it.
I dried my panel really well and peeled off the masks...and voila! EEK! I love LOVE love how this turned out! Finished it off with a few sequins. :)

I ombre stamped it by inking up the stamp from light to dark with soft cantaloupe, fresh peach, and pale tomato shadow inks. {Pssst....this stamp is on SALE} I made the gold papers with tarnished brass Tim Holtz distress stain. I even used it to stamp those dots from a retired stamp.

You Rock

Hello! Today was the last day of Clean and Simple 3 class. :( But I am still doing my homework and playing along in the Little Tangles Challenge. The challenge is to make your envelope match your card. So, here's my card and envelope...

I started by masking off the edges of my card to make it one layer. I used the Sparkle and Shine set by Neat And Tangled to stamp all my stars and the greeting. I used a rainbow of shadow inks.
I really dig how it turned out. :) And here's the envelope...
I used the A Lot To Say stamp by Neat And Tangled to make a mask. Then I stamped all my stars...and then stamped the speech bubble. The lady is an old stamp from Hobby Lobby.

Aw Shucks!

I'm back! LOL! I made another card using the technique I described in the post below. This time I used the Stitched 3x4 Die from MyCreativeTime to emboss with a polka dot folder. It embosses the stitching too! Cool, huh?! :) The sweet corn guy is from the Faceless Corn set by PeachyKeenStamps. The face is from the Kawaii Face Assortment also by PeachyKeenStamps
I used the Vintage Label Dies to cut my greeting strip. I stamped the greeting from the Faceless Corn set by PeachyKeenStamps. So cute! :)

You're berry sweet!

Hiya! Have I mentioned that I LOVE the Clean And Simple 3 class at OnlineCardClasses??!! The fabulous Julie Ebersole shared a double embossing technique using dies. You need a die with a solid back {nesting dies won't work}. So I used the XL Label die by MyCreativeTime. You lay the die on the raised side of an open embossing folder with the blades facing up. Then lay your paper over it and put an embossing mat over that. Then, leaving the embossing folder open, you run it through your machine. And voila! This really cool effect!
I stamped the strawberries from the Faceless Fruit set by PeachyKeenStamps. Then I gave them faces from the Kawaii Face Assortment set by PeachyKeenStamps. That sweet greeting is from the Fruit Sentiments One set also by PeachyKeenStamps. EEK! I love this technique! :)

Thank You

Hello. Here's my card for one of today's techniques in the Clean And Simple 3 class I'm taking at OnlineCardClasses. Just some super simple masked off triangles. I used picked raspberry, peacock feathers, and crushed olive distress inks. I sprayed over my inked triangles with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister before I removed the masks to keep the lines crisp.
See the subtle shine? The greeting is from the So Grateful For You by MyCreativeTime. A few sequins, and it's done. :)

Sending Warm Fuzzies Shaker

Hiya! I have been loving the Clean And Simple 3 class, but today I just had a hankerin' to make a layery shaker. ;) I started by paper piecing the adorable kitty from the Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat set by PeachyKeenStamps. I ♥ her so much! For my card base I used the 4x4 Journal Die And More from MyCreativeTime. I used the Vintage Label Dies for my sentiment strip. The greeting is from the Everyday Sayings set by Hero Arts.
I filled my shaker with sequins. Yay, sequins! :) I used the Fun Stitched Edges Dies from MyCreativeTime for my scalloped border. And to finish it off, I added 3 hearts I cut with the Stitched Sweethearts and XOXO dies from MyCreativeTime. The patterned papers are from the Lets Polka 6x6 paper pad by Lawn Fawn.

PG-13 Card...look at own risk. ;)

Tee Hee! My Sister In Law got me a cheeky set of DIY cards for Christmas. Well, I altered one a bit and it became this. LOL. I do love to cross stitch, so this was a fun one. It arrived to my favorite "bitch" today, so I can share it now. ;) Love ya, Shar! :)

A PeachyKeen Ducky :)

Hello! Today I made a card to play along in the Peachy Keen Challenge. I basically took the springy theme of the photo and went with that. Here's my card. :)
I used the Duck And Egg Die and Duck Accessories Die from PeachyKeenStamps to make my sweet little ducky. :) I cut out all the pieces from white cardstock and used distress inks to color them. I'm not sure why the ducky looks neon in the pics, she's not neon in real life. ;) The face on the ducky comes with the Duck And Egg Die. So cute!
I used Tim Holtz clear crackle paint on the egg. And I coated the top of the flower with clear rock candy distress glitter. OH, and for the background, I water colored with worn lipstick and dried marigold distress inks.

SALE ALERT!!!!!!!!!

Happy Shopping! :)
