Hello Shaker Card

Well hello there bloggy buddies. :) Lookie! I made a shaker card...shocker! ;) I have gotten super inspired by the Insider class at OnlineCardClasses this week...and also wanted to play along in the Little Tangles color challenge.
I really love these colors together. Soft and pretty. I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die from MyCreativeTime to create my window through the card. I filled my shaker window with Lemon, Cotton Candy, and Crystal Clear sequins from Neat and Tangled. I stamped the "hello" from the Piles Of Smiles  set from MyCreativeTime with charcoal hero arts shadow ink. I stamped the "sending you sunshine" from the Everyday Sayings set from Hero Arts under it with Soft Granite shadow ink.
When the card is closed, the sequins cover the little sun surprise on the inside of the card. :) That sun is from an old MarketStreetStamps set that is no longer available, sorry.
See that sun peeking out at ya? tee hee. The face on the sun is from the July 2013 set from PeachyKeenStamps
When you open the card, the sequins rain down like sparkles from Heaven. HA! I ♥ sequins.

I hope you're having a FABULOUS weekend!

Twiney :)

Hello! It's Nikki here with 2 cards using Timeless Twine and Peachy Keen Stamps. :) For this first card, I used the new Create a Friend Cricut cartridge to make the evil clown and balloons. I did some masking to put his smile on the white die cut mouth piece. I used The Moodies Face Assortment
I used Kraft Brown Bakers Twine for the balloon strings and bow. To finish this little guy off, I added some glossy accents to his nose to make it shiny. :) And here's my other card...
For this card, I used the jar from the April 2013 set. I white heat embossed it on vellum. I also stamped it on my patterned paper so I could cut out my shape for my shaker window. I just cut a little outside of the lines, super quick and easy. :)
I filled my jar with sequins. Oh how I ♥ sequins. Swoon. ;) I white heat embossed the greeting from the With A Cherry On Top set. And to finish it off, a bow with more of that lovely Kraft Brown Bakers Twine from Timeless Twine. If you look closely, you can see that I knotted the ends of the twine. Picked that up from the fabulous Julie Ebersole. :)

I hope your day is just peachy!

Thrifty Thursday-Shaker

Hiya! It's Thrifty Thursday at MyCreativeTime. Today we use our scraps. I used the scrap Vintage Label Die Cut that I had stamped with the Build A Chevy Background that I used on THIS card. I used a circle die to cut out the center to make a shaker. I stamped the greeting with the new Girls Night Out set with charcoal hero arts shadow ink.
I filled the window with sequins. For my card base, I used a dot embossing folder {I think an old quik kutz}. And above the dots I embossed 2 lines with my Martha Stewart Score Board.

I love you...

Hiya! I'm taking the Insider class over at OnlineCardClasses. Here is my "homework" for today. :) This class is all about sprucing up the insides of our handmade cards. For my super simple card today I used the August 2012 set from PeachyKeenStamps to stamp that cute little apple.
I paper pieced it and gave it a face from the July 2013 set from PeachyKeenStamps. Cute, eh?! :) And here is the what's on the inside...
I stamped and paper pieced the apple core from the August 2012 set. The greetings on the inside and outside are from the Fruit Sentiments One set from PeachyKeenStamps

Speaking of PeachyKeenStamps... SALE! ;)

Inspire Me Tuesday- Shine Bright Like A Diamond

It's Inspire Me Tuesday at MyCreativeTime. I was inspired by this greeting from the Treasured Moments set from MyCreativeTime. I also dig Rihanna's "Diamonds". I used the Hannah Montana cricut cartridge to cut out the diamond. Then I glued my Crystal Clear sequins to white cardstock. I do a little dab of glossy accents, sequin....repeat. :)
I stamped the greeting from Treasured Moments with Charcoal Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I think the sequins make my camera go wonky, so the color of the cardstock looks off. It's Aqua Mist from PaperTreyInk.
Eek! I just ♥ all the shine! :)

Tag It Tuesday

Hello! It's Tag It Tuesday at MyCreativeTime. I've used my tags on a card. :) I used the Tag Dies to cut the big vellum tag. I actually cut two out of vellum and adhered them together at the top. I wanted it to be a little more opaque, hence the 2nd vellum tag. Then I embossed it with a cuttlebug folder.
I cut 2 tags using the Stitched Round Tab/Arrow/Tag Dies. One from patterned paper, and one from vellum. I white heat embossed the greeting from It's All About You on the vellum tag. I finished it off with some sequins. Oh, the patterned paper is the Vintage Bliss line from Simple Stories...which I love so much!!!

Be Good To Yourself!

Hello! It's "Thoughtful Thursday" over at MyCreativeTime. I had tons of messy fun making this card. ;) I started by cutting a bunch of clouds with the Stitched Cartoon Clouds Dies to make masks for my background. I stuck the cloud masks down and sprayed Peacock Feathers distress ink {mixed with water in a mini mister} over them. Then I laid a Heidi Swapp mask over that and sprayed with gold Heidi Swapp color shine. The result of that was a very subtle pattern...
See that pattern? No? It's there. Promise. ;) Anyhoo, I peeled up the cloud masks and flicked on some more inks to messy it up a bit. I used the new Stitched Party Dies to cut the banners. I inked them up with gold distress stain and then sprayed over that with the Heidi Swapp gold color shine mist. I also added some antique linen distress stickles to every other flag on the banners. I stamped the greeting from the new Girls Night Out set with Ranger archival jet black ink. I finished it off with some sequins.

Rainbow Chevron Shaker Card

Hiya! I hope you're having a fabulous week so far. :) For my card today I used the new Build A Chevy Background set and lots of inks to make my rainbow background. I wanted to make a "softer" rainbow, so I used the following Hero Arts Shadow Inks... Pale Tomato, Soft Cantaloupe, Butter Bar, Mint Julep, Tide Pool, and Soft Purple. I cut 3 Vintage Label Dies to make the shaker, 2 from cardstock and one from acetate. I used a circle die to create the window on the top die cut.
I stamped the greeting from the So Grateful For You set from MyCreativeTime with Charcoal Hero Arts Shadow Ink. Then I filled the shaker window with sequins to match the ink colors I used.

Head over to MyCreativeTime to see more creations. :)

Inspire Me Tuesday-Ghost Shaker Card

Hello! It's "Inspire Me Tuesday" at MyCreativeTime today. I was inspired to create my card while watching Ghost Adventures this weekend. I love all the ghosty shows on TV. ;) On these shows, they're ALWAYS pointing out "orbs", so I thought I'd make an orby card. HA! Here it is...
I started by die cutting my ghosts with the new Stitched Spooky Ghosts Dies. Then I watered down some white acrylic paint and flicked it on with a brush to make the orbs ;)...... I used the negative of the cuts to create my shaker windows. I backed the ghosts with vellum and gave them faces from the Stitched Faces set from PeachyKeenStamps. It's a little hard to see, but the ghosts are filled with sequins.
See the sequins in their bellies? :) I finished it off by white heat embossing a sentiment from the new set called Fright Night

Have a SPOOKY day. ;)

Well, crud! My internet went down last night, so I missed the party. BOO! However, there's still lots of time to play in the challenges. :) Here is my card for Challenge #2  which is to create any project with a PeachyKeen Face and a die cut. My die cut on this card is the circle I used for the shaker window. ;) I stamped the coffee cups from the new September 2013 set a bunch to create a background.
I stamped the big coffee cup and cute face from the September 2013 set and put it inside the window. I filled it up with some sequins, and voila, a shaker card. :)

MyCreativeTime Designer Challenge

Hello! The MyCreativeTime Designer Challenge is to create a fall themed card. I used the new What A View Stitched Die to create a negative window mask to make my moon. I inked up the moon with mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and ripe persimmon distress inks. I sprinkled a little water on the wet ink to make some subtle "craters" on the moon. :)
Then I stamped a ton of bats from the new Fright Night set. I finished off this simple card with a greeting that is also from the new Fright Night set.
