Wishing you comfort

Hiya! I again used the Flower Bursts stamp from Hero Arts for my background. I first inked my paper with broken china distress ink and dried that ALL the way. I then stamped over it with the Flower Bursts with embossing ink and heat embossed with clear powder. Then over that, I inked with chipped sapphire distress ink. I also spritzed with some perfect pearls and water in a mini mister.

PDB Challenge 8

Challenge 8 over at PinkByDesign is to make something with ribbon or bows. Well this was perfect for me because my friend Shar sent me some ribbon scraps in a box she mailed me. Thanks Shar! :) I made a patterned strip using her scraps {and some of mine}. What a great way to use up your ribbon!
That fabulous sentiment is from the 29 and Holding set from PinkByDesign

Lots of distressy fun :) and ENABLING!

I just can't get enough of this Flower Bursts background stamp! So I white heat embossed a bunch and just inked them up with bright and fun distress inks. SUPER EASY! :) For this first one I used peacock feathers distress ink. The sentiment is from the Enjoy Today set from Market Street Stamps. And psst, it's being retired, so it's on sale super cheap! Ok, onto more inky fun!
This one was make with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink. This happy birthday sentiment is from PaperTreyInk.
This one was made with Picked Raspberry distress ink from the Summer collection.
And this one was made with Mowed Lawn distress ink from the Summer Collection. And for this last one, I used my Distress Markers to color the stamp. Super quick and easy, and a really cool result! Just color your stamp till your little heart is content, and then huff on it {breathe hot/moist air} and stamp!
I used broken china and shabby shutter distress markers on this one. The sentiment is from the Gift Card Sentiments set from MyCreativeTime. There are tons more cool colors combos that would be fun. EEK! I just love this "hobby"!

***ENABLING ALERT!***

There is a great site called Blitsy that I have recently discovered and they have GREAT deals. I mean, SERIOUSLY, great deals! Right now distress inks are just $3.49 and they have refills for just $3.49 as well. Now, hold on to your hats, they have distress markers for only $2.49!!!

Fun with a background stamp

Hiya! I have been in love with this Flower Text background forever, so when I finally saw it at Michaels, I had to have it! {I paid full price, EEK!} ;) I stamped it out on white cardstock for this first card. Super simple. I added black enamel accents to the flower centers.
I love the shine of the enamel accents. And for this next card, I stepped it up and paper pieced. :)
I used the Sweet Threads collection from Basic Grey. This may seem like it took a long time, but it didn't! I ♥ paper piecing so much. :)
Finished it off with some gems and liquid pearls. I plan on doing some more like this with different papers for yet another look.

I hope you have a fantastic day!

Season's Greetings

Hello peachies! :) Nikki here with a Christmas card made using the Peachy Picks Kit and the July 2012 set. I turned the ice cream cone from the July 2012 set into a tree. Gotta love getting more mileage out of your stamp sets! The super awesome burlap "ribbon" in the Peachy Picks Kit just screamed tree trunk to me. :) I glued it to a small strip of kraft cardstock so it would stay where I wanted it.
I tucked the tree behind some snowy hills that I added rock candy distress stickles to. I just love those stickles! The sentiment is from the Snowman Winter Greeting Card set {which is super awesome and a total must have in my opinion}. :)

Have a fabulous peachy day!

1 stamp... 2 ways...and a SALE :)

Hello, and happy Saturday to you! Today I have been playing with my new Flower Bursts background stamp from Hero Arts. {it's on sale super cheap HERE} For both cards I stamped on the same text patterned paper from the Madeline collection by Prima. For this first card, I stamped with broken china distress ink.
I love this background so much, I didn't really want to cover it. So, I added just a few pearls.
I love that you can still see the subtle text through the distress ink. Very cool!....For this card, I stamped with distress embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Same stamp, but a totally different look. :)
I inked it up with distress ink in broken china. Such a fun and easy technique!
The sentiments on both cards are from the Floral Sentiments set from MyCreativeTime. I white heat embossed them. Speaking of MyCreativeTime, have you shopped the sale yet???

Here are the deets :)

Happy Shopping!

Pizza boxes and a card :)

Hiya! A few weeks ago Sarah a.k.a. Pink Cricut made some cute little "pizza boxes" during her Ustream and I finally made some too. {took me long enough! HA} You can see her video HERE with super easy instructions. The boxes end up being 4 inches square and an inch deep. For this set I used scraps from one of my all time favorite paper pads called Madeline by Prima. SO PRETTY I can't stand to waste even a smidgen of it! I glued lots of scraps into a  strip for this card...
The greeting is from a set from Paper Trey Ink. I stamped it onto the Real Estate Sign punch. I used my i-rock imaginisce tool to add all the bling. And here is the matching box...
The cute ticket and sentiment are from the Just The Ticket set from PinkByDesign. And since I was in the box making mood, I decided to make a Christmas one.
For this one I stamped the cute polar bears from the Beary Merry Christmas set from PinkByDesign. Aren't they just adorable?!
I added glossy accents to their eyes, noses, and the sign. These boxes take just minutes to make! ♥ em!

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Hello! Nikki here a.k.a. Scrappin'NavyWife. :) This is the card I made for Emma's son. I used paper that I've been hoarding forever {from Hobby Lobby} to paper piece this rocket stamp called Blast Off. PSST...Blast Off is on sale over at MarketStreetStamps!!! :) I thought it went perfectly with the "wishing you a speedy recovery" sentiment from the Many Greetings stamp set. Here you can see how cool and shiny this paper is...

And tomorrow is my Mom in law's birthday...and here's the card I made her :)
I used the Whimsical Calendar Days set to make her personalized b-day calendar. I stamped it on the XL Label die and white heat embossed it.
Punched some butterflies and voila! :)

I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!!

Ice Cream...and SALE! :)

Hello! For my card today I used the new July 2012 set to make my ice cream cones. The super cute faces are also from the July 2012 set. I ran the cones through my vagabond in an argyle embossing folder. The patterned papers are all from the new Peachy Picks Kit. The kit is super rad this month!
I added glossy accents to the eyes. For the background behind the cones, I used my new M-bossabilities folder from Spellbinders called So Trendy. These folders are super cool because they're 2 for 1, the embossing folders can be folded two ways for two different designs! :) BUT...I will say that when I ran it through my vagabond machine, it warped my top clear plate pretty badly...but it's super awesome, so I don't really care. :)

and now...........ENABLING ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't just float...Swim

Hello! I finally got the new summer distress inks in the mail, so I just had to play with them. They are super duper fun and really vibrant colors! I started this card by making my background with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. While the ink was still wet I flicked on some water to make the little specks. {looks like real water this way} I stamped the Fishie stamp from MarketStreetStamps 3 times and used the new summer distress ink to color them. I just blot some ink onto my craft sheet and squirt some perfect pearls and water mixture into each ink to make a shimmery "paint". Then I just painted on the colors with paint brushes. You can see the shimmer better here...

I filled in the bubbles {also from Fishie} with a sakura glitter pen and added glossy accents over top of it to make the bubbles...bubblier :) I did the same thing on the dots in the sentiment that is also from the adorable Fishie set from MarketStreetStamps. Oh, and I added glossy accents to their eyes....EEK I just think this Fishie set is so super cute, and it's only 5 bucks!

PSST...Market Street Stamps has a mini release, and it's adorable! :)
