NEW Peachy Fun!!!!

Hello! Today is the day! You can get your hands on NEW PeachyKeenStamps!!! Here I have paper pieced one of the sweet little mushrooms from the NEW March 2012 set. I used the super cute papers from the March Peachy Picks Kit. This kit totally rocks!
I made this card for one of the challenges going on over at the Peachy Keen Connection. Scoot on over there to play along for chances to WIN prizes! :)

And here is another card I made with NEW PeachyKeenStamps. I am LOVING that there are now background stamps, and this one is SO CUTE!!! It's called Mushroom Soup. ;)
I heat embossed the Mushroom Soup background and then swirled on color with distress inks. I used pumice stone, iced spruce, and rusty hinge.
I colored the adorable mushroom from the new March 2012 set with the same ink colors and my foam blending tool. I just stamp the image a few times so I can cut it up and paper piece it back together. This makes for SUPER FAST coloring! ;) OH and the groovy sentiment is from the Hippy Chic from MarketStreetStamps

Again, be sure to pop over to the Peachy Keen Connection to get lots of inspiration and play along!

there's no bunny like you...

Hello! Welcome to another Favorite Stamp of the Month for MyCreativeTime! This month we are to choose between Emma's 1st Edition...2nd Edition...or 3rd Edition sets. I chose to use Color Me Happy for my sentiment which is from her 1st Edition. ;) I also used the bunnies from her new stamp set that is called Hello Spring. I stamped them with Tim Holtz Embossing Ink {my fav} and heat embossed with clear powder. I then layered on color from light to dark using the following distress ink colors...Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans and just a little Chipped Sapphire and Shabby Shutters. This technique darkens up the background and really makes the image pop!
This technique is super quick and EASY...I promise! :) This card took about 15 minutes, maybe less! If I wasn't so picky about cutting out my clouds it probably would have been 5 minutes. ;)

Now...head over to Emma's blog to link up your projects you have made with any of the following

MCT Hop

Hello! I hope you're enjoying the hop! You should have arrived from Nancy's blog, but if you didn't, head to Emma's blog to start at the beginning. For this first card I stamped the chicken wire from the new set called Spring Chicken Backgrounds. I added color with shabby shutters distress ink. I used the cute egg dies that come with the Hello Spring set. Onto that I stamped the flowers also from the Hello Spring set. I heat embossed the with clear embossing powder and used broken china distress ink to add color.
I used my iRock tool to add the gems to the egg. The sentiment is from the Color Me Happy set from MyCreativeTime...........and onto my other card {that is one of my favorites ever!}

For this one I stamped the floral background from the Spring Chicken Backgrounds onto patterned paper {Yours Truly by Echo Park} and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I added color over that with pumice stone distress ink. This darkens the areas that do NOT have embossing powder and makes the colors underneath pop! You can see the effect better here...
See the clear embossing shine?! Looks really pretty in real life! I white heat embossed the sentiment from the new set called Hello Spring. Ok, that's it for me.......

My Creative Time Sneaks day 2

Hello! Today we are sneaking a new stamp set from MyCreativeTime called Spring Chicken Backgrounds. For both of my cards I first stamped the Script Type Backgrounds with black stazon ink. I then stamped the new Spring Chicken Background over that with tim holtz embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This way you can see the script through the clear embossing. For this first card I inked it up with scattered straw distress ink. Here you can see it a little better...
I swear it really looks pretty in real life! For this next card I did the same thing BUT I did ink up my paper with spun sugar distress ink before clear embossing so that the "clear" parts would be pink. And I made this card much more dramatic by using aged mahogany distress ink.
See how the "clear" parts are pink? :) and here's a side view to see the shine...
Okie dokie! That's it for me today...pop over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the rest of the team made! :)

Throwback Thursday

Hello and happy Throwback Thursday to you! This time we have a "bug" theme. So just use any older cricut cartridge and make something buggy. :) For my card I made the cute ladybug from the Create a Critter cartridge. I used my gypsy to hide the face so I could give her a PeachyKeen face. This sweet face is from the Princess Faces Assortment set. I attached her with a wobble to the XL Label die
The sentiment is from the My Favorite Sayings set from MyCreativeTime. Ok, pop over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the rest of the DT made...AND to play along!!!

Good Luck to you!

Hello! I hope you're having a great day! I played with lots of Peachy funness today! First off I stamped the  Grampa's Pajamas background stamp with distress embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I layered on the color with Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, and a little Forest Moss distress ink. I did the same thing with the Lucky Day Shamrock background stamp. But I wanted to lighten it up a bit so I misted it with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. I could not get a good front on photo of this card because of the glare caused by the adorable acrylic shamrock...
The acrylic shamrock is in this month's Peachy Pick's Kit. CUTE! I also used paper from the Peachy Pick's Kit  to stamp the cute face from the February 2012 set. The sentiment is also from the February 2012 set. I really wish this would have photographed better, I swear it's pretty in real life! :)
