Merry Christmas Deer

Hiya! Here is a super simple Christmas card. I stamped and colored the deer from the Beary Merry Christmas  set from PinkByDesign
I added glossy accents to the nose to make is shiny. :) I didn't add a sentiment because the patterned paper already says Merry Christmas....OH, see those cool circles??? I stamped the Circles Background from PinkByDesign and used it for the borders.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

p.s. the patterned paper is from the 12 days of Christmas collection from My Mind's Eye

Throwback Thursday

Hello! Welcome to another Throwback Thursday challenge with MyCreativeTime. For this challenge we are using an image image from an older FONT cricut cartridge. Just pick and image from a "font" cartridge to use. I got my ornament from the Lyrical Letters cartridge. I did use my gypsy to give it layers.
I used the houndtooth stamp from the Build a Banner Kit to make my patterned paper strip. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up perfectly. The sentiment is from the All Around Christmas set from MyCreativeTime. Pop over to Emma's BLOG to see what she and the rest of the DT made and to play along!!!! See ya later gators!

holiday greetings

Hiya! My card for today isn't as "cutesie" as I usually make, but I think it turned out pretty. :) I stamped the Hounsdstooth Background stamp from PinkByDesign with lipstick red colorbox fluid chalk ink. I just LOVE those inks! I stamped the cardinal image from the Boughs of Holly stamp set from PinkByDesign. I added the color with prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.
The sentiment is also from the Boughs of Holly stamp set from PinkByDesign. I just happened to have some black and cream houndstoothish ribbon. ;)

Owl Mania...

Hello! Ok, well maybe not owl mania, but I just love this adorable owl image from the Beary Merry Christmas set from PinkByDesign. For this card I kept it very simple because I just LOVE this patterned paper! I thought it was perfect because to me, it looks like multi-colored feathers. :) The paper is from the 12 days of Christmas collection by My Mind's Eye.
The sentiment is also from the Beary Merry Christmas set from PinkByDesign.  Ok...I loved this little owl so much, I thought it was a darn shame to only use it for Christmas...sooooo....I made it a witch! :)
Sorry the pic is horrible, but you get the idea. I used a post it note to mask of the santa hat and music notes...I then stamped the witch hat from the Cute Halloween set from PinkByDesign. It actually looks like it was made to fit this sweet owl! CUTE!!! The sentiment is from the You're a Hoot by PinkByDesign. I mounted it on the Scallop and Stitched Circle die from MyCreativeTime
I used the negative of the scalloped circle I cut for my first card to make a window card base. Waste not, want not! ;) OH, almost forgot...I used the Houndstooth background to stamp the base the owl is on. I stamped it in black and blended on the new ripe persimmon distress ink from the limited seasonal inks.

I hope you are OWL having a great day! Hehehehe

Out of difficulties grow miracles

Hello! For my card today I used the gorgeous Roses background stamp from PinkByDesign. I heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I used distress inks in dusty concord, seedless preserves, shabby shutters, peeled paint, and antique linen to paint in the roses. I had the whole panel stamped and colored and then had an unfortunate trimmer accident so I had to cut the panel down to salvage it. Errrr.
The colors have way more depth in person. OH and I also mixed in some perfect pearls with my ink..so it's sparkly. :) The beautiful sentiment is from the Believe in Yourself set from PinkByDesign. I really love how this one turned out! :)

Berry Sweet

Hello! This is my last guest design day for Scrapbuggy. :( For this card I again used the TOTALLY AWESOME Build a Cupcake dies. They are packed full of awesome cuts! The Build a Cupcake die comes with two 4x4 die plates and it's on sale for just $25!!! Super great deal! I cut my cupcake out with vintage cream cardstock from PaperTreyInk.com and used distress inks to customize the colors. My patterned paper is from the Sweet Threads collection from Basic Grey.
The sentiment is from the Simply Everything Vol. 1 set by Mr.CricutCrazy. My sentiment is on the Scallop and Stitched Circle die from MyCreativeTime. Well, that's my card for today. Be sure to visit the Scrapbuggy Store and also visit their BLOG for tons of great inspiration. Have a great day!

Fight Like A Girl...

Hello. The other day my cousin posted on Facebook that her friend had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I decided to make her a couple cards to give to her friend during the diffucult times to come. For this first one I used the Houndstooth background stamp from PinkByDesign for the patterned panel behind the girl. The girl is from the Forever Young cricut cartridge. I cut her at 5 inches and used the Extra Small Polka Dot  from PeachyKeenStamps.com to emboss her dress.
I used spun sugar distress ink to color her dress. The sentiment {which I think is awesome} is from the Breast Wishes set from PinkByDesign. Sorry the pictures look so weird. It's raining and gloomy here.

For this card I used the Race For a Cure Charity Set from MyCreativeTime. And as the name of the set suggests, some proceeds from this set go to charity. :) I embossed the ribbons on the background with white embossing powder and went over that with spun sugar distress ink. Spun sugar is the PERFECT pink for Breast Cancer cards!
I stamped the Extra Small Polka Dot and over that stamped the large focal point ribbon. I then heat embossed them with white embossing powder and cut around the ribbon. I dry embossed the black piece with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder and used my Martha Stewart score board to make two lines to put my gems in. The perfect sentiment is also from the Race For A Cure Charity Set from MyCreativeTime.

PeachyKeen Challenge 61

Hello! It's challenge time again and we have the above sketch to follow AND a twist! The twist is to include twine or embroidery floss somewhere on your project. Here is my take on the sketch challenge...
The adorable kitty is from the Mitsy Sue and Colby Cheer Up set from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I colored her with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I used my Sew Easy tool to pierce the holes for my scalloped twine border. I used Cotton Candy Divine Twine from PinkByDesign. I also used it to sew the line under my sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Just a Little Note To Say set from MyCreativeTime. OH and I added little heart brads to complete my scalloped twine border. Ok that's it for me today...scooty your booty over to the Challenge Blog to see all the other creations and to play along with us in this challenge!

btw. this is a long card and fits inside a business size envelope. :)

Thinking of You

Hello! It's Saturday again and another guest design day for me for the Scrapbuggy Blog. I used the butterfly from the Build A Cupcake dies. This is a 2 die set and I think it's a total must have! TONS of fun things can be done with the cupcakes and all the little extras. I cut them out and then stamped 2 with the Extra Small Polka Dot stamp from PeachyKeenStamps.com...I also used that on the bottom border. I white heat embossed and went over them with distress ink in tumbled glass and broken china.
I used a stamp from the Build a Banner Kit from MyCreativeTime to stamp the butterflies with a burlap look. I then heat embossed and used distress inks in spun sugar and worn lipstick. I stapled them to the circles because I wanted a shabby chic look. The Build a Cupcake die cuts out a cute little "body" for the butterfly. :) I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Vintage Greetings set from PinkByDesign on the Curly Label Die from MyCreativeTime. Okie dokie...See ya later!

The patterned papers on this first card are from the Madeline collection from Prima... Here's another calendar b-day card...
For this one I also used the Fun Borders set to stamp the pink border on the bottom. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection.

For this one I used the Polka Dot Surprise set for the sentiment. And for this last card, I wanted to used the "negative" of the die...

I decided to use up some ribbon scraps, and I just LOVE how this card turned out! I mean I seriously LOVE it!
I stamped the sentiment from the Wow So Many Candles set on the Curly Label Die. I popped up the sentiment so it's flush with the negative kraft piece. OK...pop on over to Emma's BLOG to see all the greatness over there!

PeachyKeen Blog Hop!!!!

Hello! If you arrived here from Heidi then you're hopping in the right direction. Click HERE to go back to the beginning, you don't want to miss anything! Today I am showcasing PK-646 Fall Fun Faceless Set. Such a totally versatile set that I got a tad carried away and made a card with every image. ;) Lets get started! First up...

Crazy simple card. Took about 5 minutes by just using patterned paper. The sentiment is from the Pumpkin House Accessories set. No lets move onto some more involved cards.

For this one I used the Bit of Burlap background stamp from MarketStreetStamps.com. The faces on the candy corn are from the Cutie Pie Faces set. The sentiment is from the Frankly set.

For this one I used distress inks to make my background. Stamped the flowers and gave them Wide Eyed Kids faces. The clouds are from MarketStreetStamps.com. I stitched some stems and leaves with twine. Here you can see the dimension...

This entire card was made with white cardstock. I used distress inks in Victorian velvet, milled lavender, dusty concord, and aged mahogany. I white heat embossed the swirls and the leaves and then inked until I got the colors I wanted.

I misted with perfect pearls in a mini mister to add shine. Can you see it? :)

For this last one, I used black embossing powder and colored my background with distress inks in mustard seed and scattered straw. I also used those to color the flowers that I popped up. I swear the color is more varied in real life.

I sprayed the background again with copper perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. Their faces are from the Wide Eyed Kids asst. The sentiment is from the set called Happy Birthday Kids. Ok, that's it for me!

Do you love the set I used??? Just comment on this post for your chance to win it!!!
