You're My Hero Card

Hello and Happy Memorial Day to you! I made this card today to send to my deployed sailor. I know it'll make him smile! I wanted to create a sort of cheeky "pin-up" for him and this is what I came up with. I used Once Upon A Princess for my cheeky gal. And thanks to the new hide contour feature on the Gypsy, stamping her face with the adorable Princess Face Assortment was super easy!

Honestly I think this is the cutest face EVER! Kathy at PeachyKeenStamps.com so TOTALLY ROCKS!!! I would just DIE without my PK stamps! I'm going to go out on a limb and say this may be my favorite card EVER!!! I hope "my hero" agrees with me. Oh, the "you're my hero" stamp is from the Everyday Occasions set by MyPinkStamper. I hope you're having a fabulous Memorial Day. I have spent the day craftin' and watching my beloved Chicago Cubs. ;o) I want to say a special thank you to my husband's ship the USS CARNEY DDG-64 for your service to our great nation. And to those that have given their lives for our freedom, I am eternally grateful.

*God Bless America...and YOU!*

DinoMite Dad Card

Hello! I am LOVING the new Gypsy update!!! I used the hide contour feature to remove the face that would have cut out in the layer 3 function. This way I was able to use one of my Critter Faces stamps to give my dino a cute face and still have his "spots" cut out. Which you can't see because I filled said cutout spots with lime stickles ;o) I went to Michaels this past week and picked up the new Martha Stewart punch around the page set called Optic Dot. It is a really cool double row, but I needed it to be shorter so I could fit my sentiment on the card...So I just covered up the second row of dots and voila! ;o)

While I was at Michaels I searched and searched for a Father's day stamp or set of some kind and found NONE! Boo! So I used the Happy Father's Day cut from the Wild Card Cartridge.

I hope you're having a DINOMITE weekend!!!!!!!

Puppy Love Picture Frame

Hello, and happy Friday! I made this frame for Megan from AboveRubiesStudio to say thank you for including my projects in the DVD she made along with Tammy Skinner called Gypsy A to Z. You may be wondering why there's a picture of Donny Osmond in it...She is a huge fan of his! She even has pictures with him that I hope will fit in the frame. ;o) This is the first frame I've ever made and it was super fun! I mailed it on Monday along with some other "thank you" goodies. She really made me HAPPY, and I hope this will make her happy. ;O) I hope all of YOU have a fabulous weekend!

PeachyKeen Challenge 29 Recipe Card

Hello! Sorry I'm late posting this today, but I had internet issues. Grrr. The challenge this time is to create a recipe card using your favorite summer BBQ or picnic recipe. For my recipe card I did my ALL TIME FAVORITE pistachio salad a.k.a. "green stuff"! I have LOVED it since I was a baby! mmmmmm

I used vellum to hand cut a frosted bowl for my pistachio salad. I used the sweet faced marshmallows from the Hot Cocoa stamp set for my pistachio salad.  I popped some of the marshmallows up to add dimension.

I did a google search for pistachio's and I found some good images. I thought the nut sticking out of the shell looked kind of like a nut version of ms. pacman...So I used the small Critter Faces set to stamp their eyes. I then {of course!} gave both of my little pistachio girls twine bows in their "hair". Giggle giggle. ;o)
I hope you will play along with us! We will have 2 winners again this time! One will be judged, and one winner will be drawn at random. The judged winner will receive the Funshine Faces stamp set. The random winner will receive the adorable Henny Penny stamp. I look forward to seeing your creations!!!! Happy stamping to you!!!

Pistachio wishes and Marshmallow dreams!

Notepad and Coordinating Pen Set

Hi friends! WOW it's not a card! LOL :o) I just love making these little notepads! They are super cheap and are a great way to use up scraps from 12x12 papers. These little guys are SUPER EASY to make. I get the notepads in a pack of 3 for a dollar at the NEX here on base, but I've seen them at all the major chain stores too. Then pens I like to use are by Pentel and are called R.S.V.P. I love that patterned paper can even make a pen cool! The flower on the front is from Create-a-Critter {of course!} and the paper is by K and Company. I have been addicted to making these ever since I saw one of my crafty hero's Leah Fung demo it in one of her videos. You can watch said video HERE. She is a major inspiration to me! Love her! Well I hope you're having a great day! I am looking SO FORWARD TO LOST tonight! I love that show, but I'm secretly glad it's about to be over because I'm not sure my brain could take another mind numbing season of total confusion! HAHA Are any of you "Losties" too??? Have a Lost-tastic day all!!!!

HUGS!
Nikki

p.s. If you watch the video you will see the Crop-o-dile Big Bite, and my suggestion is that if you don't have one...GET ONE! It is a GREAT TOOL! Don't you just totally love when I enable you????!!!!! ;o) And now for some more enabling....COUPONS!!!! Head over to Joy's blog for some more.

Teacher Thank You Card

My friend Steph's son will be giving this card to his teacher. I again used my Gypsy to weld two apple shadows from Create-a-Critter to make this shaped card. So, it's the same base as yesterday's card, but has a completely different look. I used my Calvin and Hobbes font to make the tag with his teacher's name on it. I thought it looked like a kid's writing. ;o) And to finish it off I added HUGE googlie eyes...we're talkin' HUGE!!! They are the size of a quarter! I got them in a variety pack at the Dollar Tree.
I hope this made you smile! It sure makes me smile! It might be hard to part with! LOL HAVE A WONDERFUL EVENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are ALL the apple of my eye!
Nikki

Wormy Grad Card

Hey friends! Today's card is once again made with the Create-a-Critter cricut cartridge. I just can't help myself, all the images are SO CUTE! If you don't have it, GET IT! ;o) I used my Gypsy to weld two apple shadows together to make the card base. And then I just layered on top of it. EASY PEASY! This studious little wormy's face was stamped with the Critter Faces Medium set available at PeachyKeenStamps.com. SO SUPER CUTE! LOVE PK!!!!
Here is the side view to show that I cut an extra base cut of the apple to make writing in the card easier. I hope you're having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Drum-roll......I have 2 projects featured in this Gypsy A to Z DVD by AboveRubiesStudio! I am so HAPPY! :o) I had to pop it in and take some pics of my projects on my tv...LOL...I know I'm crazy! HAHAHA

I know it looks like I live in a cave, but I made it dark in my living room so I could get pictures. I AM A HUGE DORK! HAHAHAHAHA    If you have the Gypsy you should totally get this DVD to get the most out of your Gypsy.

Thanks for letting me flip out on you for a minute! HAHA But back to business...Here's my card for today ;o)

I used my Gypsy to make this cupcake shaped card. The cupcake and it's fixin's are from the Create-a-Critter cricut cartridge. Just a simple card made a tiny bit more fabulous with the addition of googlie eyes. ;o) Gotta love googlies!

A HUGE THANKS to Megan @ Aboverubiesstudio.com {and her scrubby!} I am just tickled pink to be included on your AWESOME DVD! :o)

Deer me!

Hello friends! I am in LOVE with Create-a-Critter! And the faces that Peachy Keen Stamps make to go with this cartridge are TO DIE FOR! I mean this little fawn is cute with the "regular" face on the cartridge, but the stamp just takes it to a whole new level of adorableness! SERIOUSLY CUTE!!! Ok, I'll stop gushing now. ;o) The fawn is cut at 3 inches and the face is stamped with the Critter Faces Medium Set. I did some strategic layering of my own to get the brown feet and nose. I cut the base layer twice. Once in the cream and once in dark brown. Then I cut the bottom half of the brown body to get the feet. And then I just freehand cut the nose. Enough talk of paper fawn butchery. LOL
The flowers are cut from the same button as the fawn at 2.25 inches. The clouds are hand cut. The sentiment stamp is from cleardollarstamps.com. I hope you're having a wonderful day!

You're are all very DEER to me!

So Super Sweet Card

Hello and HAPPY SATURDAY! This card was born because of the ADORABLE vintage Strawberry Shortcake ribbon my Aunt Linda gave me. SO CUTE!!! THANK YOU AUNT LINDA!!! Look how cute the spool is!

Anyhoo...The Strawberry is from the Preserves Cricut Cartridge. I ran the top layer through the cuttlebug in the swiss dots folder to make the "seeds". The scalloped circle is from the Winter Woodland cartridge {my FAV scallop!}

The sentiment stamp is from the Everyday Occasions set by My Pink Stamper. I hope you're having a BERRY-RIFFIC weekend!

SWEET BERRY WISHES TO YOU!

p.s. Who else is excited for the season finale of SNL tonight? I AM!!! Alec Baldwin is ALWAYS hysterical as the host! I LOVE SNL! ;o)

Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

Hello! Happy Friday to you!!! My cousin Garrett is turning in his bachelor card tomorrow. ;o) This is the card I made for him and his lovely bride. This card is almost sinfully simple, but I LOVE how it turned out! I used the Sweethearts cricut cartridge for all the cuts. LOVE that cartridge! It's a must have! ;o)

I used about a billion cut up pop dots on the Mr. and Mrs...

I stamped Congrats on the inside and added the wedding ring set too. The rings are also from the Sweethearts cartridge. Well, I hope you have a fabulous day and EXTRA FAB weekend!

Hugs!

You Rock Card

Hey my peeps! This card was a custom order from my Etsy shop. The client wanted a "you rock" card for a friend that got a promotion in a skincare company. So I took my cue from the colors and packaging of their products. The doll is from Once Upon A Princess and is cut at 3.5 inches. The "You Rock" sentiment is from the Stamping cartridge and is cut at 1 inch. Here are some more views of the card.........

I did a little somethin' to the inside...

All the papers used here are from the Offbeat Collection by Basic Grey. I hope you're having a WONDERFUL day!!!!! I'm off to the post office. ;o)

PeachyKeen Challenge 28 *Robot Card*

HELLO FRIENDS!!! <----using my best robot voice! It's time for another PeachyKeen Challenge! This time we have another sketch for you to follow, and here it is...........
For my card I used the super cute Robo Star stamp. I used my gypsy to size the ovals to fit the stamp snugly. So the bit that is stamped on is the only cricut on this card. I cut the little gears from the patterned paper I used. This paper is super cute, but hard to photograph because of the foiling. It is by The Paper Studio and is called "A Boy's Universe"...I got it at hobby lobby.

Anyhoo, you will have TWO chances to win this time! We will be drawing a random winner AND a judged winner. FUN HUH?!  So pop on over to the Challenge Blog to see what the other designers have made AND to see what you could win! Oh, and welcome our 3 new design team members! Their work is sure to blow you away! Happy Stamping to you!!!!!

Nikki

p.s. Can you believe there is NO kraft cardstock on this one???? LOL, GASP

p.p.s. I have a super funny robot song as track 2 on my playlist at the bottom of the page...I would have put it as the default song, but there is a minor "swear" word...so I didn't want to offend...BUT if you can handle it, it's FUNNY! ;o)

Devlin's Pig Farm 2 page layout

Howdy y'all! Yee Haw, it's Saturday!!! This project is going in my cousin's little boys bedroom in two 12x12 shadowbox frames. He is OBSESSED with pigs, and I hope he LOVES this! I sure had fun making it! OINK OINK
I used a few cartridges for this...Everyday Paper dolls for the farmer and the tractor. I cut the tractor twice so I could make my own layers.
I wrote "Devlin Tractor Co." really little on the tractor. ;o)
I LOVE how my little farmer turned out! He even has "snaps" for his overalls!
Back to listing cartridges...The barn, windmill, and hay bundles are from Old West...The piggies are from Animal Kingdom...And I think the clouds are from Create-a-Critter...Oh, and the title font is the marker feature from Pooh Font. I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Farmtastic wishes!

Kitty Cat Card

Hello everyone! Raise your hand if you're obsessed with Create-a-Critter...*BOTH HANDS RAISED*....LOL...I used my gypsy to weld two shadows of the cute kitty together to create a shaped card. This will fit in a standard A2 envelope. ;o) Anyhoo, this is my hubby's Grandma's Mother's day card. She loves her kitties just like me, although she has 3 furry babies...I just have the 2...Simba and Jinxy...And this card looks like my Simba ;o)

Have a CRITTERIFIC day!!!!

Hugs,
Nikki

p.s. Maybe I'm blind or just a tad "slow"...but I couldn't find the little bit to cut the tongue so I just kinda made my own...anyone else notice that???

Ahoy! Happy Birthday Mason...and ME! ;o)

Hello! This is the card I made for my little birthday buddy Mason. He is 5 today, sadly I am not! LOL Yep, today is my big 30! SIGH...I was late in getting this in the mail, so I wanted to post it so he could see it on his actual birthday! He had a pirate party, so this lil guy was just perfect! The Octo-pirate is from Create-a-Critter and is cut at 3 inches.
The "ahoy" is on the same key at the octo, but is cut at 1 inch. So I hope you're having a great 5th birthday buddy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Have a great day everyone!

A little Birdie told me...Bird-day Card

Happy National Scrapbooking Day friends!!! I finally finished My Pink Stamper's Challenge #2 which was to use scraps. Buy the way, she is now on 7, I'm a tad slow. LOL Anyhoo, I used my gypsy to design this to make the most of some tiny scraps of PTI cardstock. The sweet little birdie is from the Create-a-Critter cartridge and her cute flower has a glittered brad center. The branch is from the Songbird cartridge which I cut twice in brown and in green so I could hand cut the leaves. I used a punch for the flowers on the branch.
I love the sentiment I came up with for the inside! ;o)
Well I hope you're having a wonderful NSD!!! I know I am! I hope to "see" you over at the AboveRubiesStudio live Ustream chat at 8ET tonight!

Scrappy Hugs!
Nikki

p.s. I did put this in my new Etsy shop. ;o)
